AI Feedback

Strong and consistent early performance, so stability is solid. Collections Framework is your main gap. Prioritize Stream API and Map operations before your next review.

Your teachers are spending hundreds of hours a year writing feedback that students skim and forget. Your students are getting grades without knowing what to fix. This gap exists at every institution in the world, because until now no system solved it at scale. SkillGap does. Every student gets a clear path forward, every teacher gets their time back, and for the first time, both sides have something real to talk about.

The SkillGap engine

The engine finds it.
The AI makes it make sense.

The SkillGap engine measures what each student actually knows: composite scoring plus real psychometrics, every number reproducible and defensible. Then the AI elevates that diagnosis into clear, personal feedback they'll act on.

The diagnosis · the engine

The guidance · AI, per student

A strong, consistent start. Your core OOP is solid. Collections Framework is your main gap. Prioritize Stream API and Map operations before your next review.

1 Collections Framework 2 Stream API 3 Map operations

Every line traces back to something the engine measured.

Most AI feedback is written to sound encouraging.
Ours is written to be right.

The same assessment.
A completely different outcome.

Diagnosis, not just a score
Accuracy and consistency combine into a Skill Index that shows how deeply a student knows the material, not just whether they got the right answer. It's backed by class-level psychometrics, not guesswork.
A roadmap after every exam
Every submission generates instant, personalized guidance on exactly which subtopics to prioritize and why. Students do not just see what they got wrong. They see what to do about it.
The class picture faculty never had
Real-time dashboards reveal which topics the whole cohort missed, which students are quietly at risk, and where the curriculum itself may need adjusting. No manual analysis required.
Any subject. Any institution.
The scoring engine and AI feedback layer are fully configurable for any discipline. Nursing, programming, law, engineering. Your subject, your rubric, your question bank.
Data & Compliance
Your data doesn't leave your hands

Student data is used to generate feedback and that's it. We don't hold onto it, profile it, or move it anywhere it shouldn't go. What's yours stays yours.

Compliance is handled where you are

Data regulations differ by country, so we work with whatever applies to your institution. Before anything is signed, we'll be upfront about what's relevant and flag anything worth a closer look.

No lock-in, ever

No multi-year contracts: your license is yours to cancel anytime. Leave whenever and take all your data with you, and your own system keeps running. Only the SkillGap feedback layer is a service you license, so nothing is ever held hostage.

The platform · Java Programming

Scan a paper exam with your phone, and the engine turns it into a class diagnosis and a personal plan for every student, in seconds. Java Programming is just the example shown here; it works for any subject.

This is what happens
when every exam
means something.

Three outcomes every institution sees when SkillGap runs. Expand each to see what changes.

Every student who leaves an exam not knowing what to fix is a dropout risk in slow motion. SkillGap surfaces gap patterns before they become disengagement, giving your student success team something to act on while there is still time.

$12k+
average annual tuition at risk for every student who disengages and leaves. A 500-student school licenses SkillGap at the Standard tier for about $12,500 a year, roughly the value of one retained student.
Early warning before it is too late. Gap data that widens across consecutive assessments flags at-risk students weeks before the formal dropout process catches them.
Direction at the critical moment. Students who understand their gaps and have a clear path forward re-engage rather than disengage. The roadmap matters as much as the diagnosis.
Every level, not just the ones failing. Students at every performance tier get a personalized next step, whether they scored 44 or 91.

When 65% of a cohort misses the same subtopic, that is not a student problem. It is a curriculum signal. SkillGap makes the difference visible so faculty can adjust while the semester is still running, not after it ends.

Semester 1
is all it takes to see which parts of your curriculum are working and which need rethinking. The data compounds every cycle after that.
Topic-level gap heatmaps. See which concepts the whole class missed, not just who failed. If 68% of students struggle with the same subtopic, that is a teaching signal, not 68 individual problems.
Year-over-year cohort comparison. See whether changes to your curriculum are actually working by comparing the same topics across intake years.
Assessment calibration data. Identify which question formats and difficulty configurations correlate with better learning outcomes and which produce noise.

Accreditation bodies want documented, structured learning outcomes data. SkillGap generates it from the first assessment cycle, automatically, without any extra reporting work from faculty or administration.

Day 1
is when your institution starts accumulating the outcomes evidence accreditation bodies require. It builds in the background while your faculty does what they actually do.
Structured outcomes data, every cycle. Every assessment produces competency-level evidence tied to specific subtopics. No extra steps, no retrofitting at review time.
Audit-ready from the start. Institutions approaching a review in the next 12 to 18 months can run a pilot now and walk in with a full semester of documented evidence already in hand.
Board and strategic planning reports. Aggregate gap data across departments gives leadership a real picture of institutional learning health, not just pass rates.
For your faculty

SkillGap works for your teachers,
not instead of them.

The engine handles the repetitive diagnostic work: spotting where each student fell short and surfacing the curriculum signals the whole class is showing. The AI turns that into plain-language guidance each student can act on. Teachers come to every class knowing exactly where to focus, not guessing. The teaching, the judgment, and the relationship stay exactly where they belong, with your faculty. Every result is reviewable, and the AI's wording is always labeled as machine-generated, never passed off as an instructor's.

It assists, never replaces
Faculty keep full control over grades and final judgment. SkillGap does the legwork, not the teaching.
Grounded, and reviewable
Every line of feedback traces back to a real question, topic, or score the engine measured. Nothing is invented, and every result can be checked or overridden.
Honest, not flattering
No empty praise: strong work is called strong, a real gap is named. AI wording is always labeled machine-generated, never disguised as a person.
Students gain direction, not dependency
SkillGap gives students a roadmap, not answers. The goal is autonomy: students who understand their own learning well enough to direct it themselves.
The institutional investment case.

Protect the revenue
you've already earned.

Every student who disengages because they didn't know what to fix is a tuition year, sometimes three, walking out the door. At typical HEI rates, SkillGap breaks even the moment it helps retain a single student. Everything else is institutional return on top.

$12k+
average annual tuition revenue at risk for every student who disengages and drops out. A 500-student school licenses SkillGap at the Standard tier for about $12,500 a year, the value of a single retained student.
600+ hrs
of senior faculty time freed from routine diagnostic feedback per year, redirected to the work that actually needs their expertise.
Day 1
when your institution starts generating audit-ready outcomes evidence for accreditation reviews, board reports, and strategic planning.

Run the retention math: if SkillGap helps a 500-student school cut dropout by even 2%, that is roughly 10 students retained and over $120,000 in protected tuition, set against a $12,500 annual license. The retention buffer alone justifies the line item. Faculty efficiency and accreditation-ready outcomes data are institutional dividends on top.

For every decision-maker

One platform, a clear answer for everyone at the table.

Adopting SkillGap usually involves a few people. Here's what each of them gets.

Leadership & Finance

Revenue you keep

Every student who disengages is tuition walking out the door. SkillGap helps you catch them early, and pays for itself the moment it retains one.

IT & Systems

Keep the system you have

We connect to the LMS you already run through its API and add our layer on top. No migration, no second system to maintain, no disruption to what already works.

Faculty

Better conversations, not fewer

Faculty come to every class knowing exactly where students are. Office hours shift from "I don't understand this subject" to "the system shows I'm struggling with X, can we go deeper?" The diagnostic guesswork is already done.

Questions

The things institutions ask first.

We already have an LMS. Why doesn't it do this?
Because an LMS is built to organize and deliver learning, not to diagnose it. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and every other platform store your assessment data but do not interpret it at the student level. No LMS has built this natively. SkillGap is the intelligence layer that sits on top of whatever you already have and turns that stored data into something students and faculty can actually act on. That is exactly the gap it fills.
Do we have to replace our current system?
No. SkillGap layers on top of your existing LMS or assessment platform through its API. Your students, logins, and question bank stay where they are; we just add the scoring and AI feedback. If you have no system yet, we can build one for you instead.
What if our system doesn't have everything SkillGap needs?
That's exactly what the upfront audit is for. SkillGap works from whatever data you already have: at minimum a student, a topic, and a score, which nearly every system stores. The more it can see (per-question answers, topic tags, timing), the more detailed the feedback gets, but it never simply fails because a field is missing. Anything genuinely absent we either capture through our own integration layer or scope into setup, and we'll show you exactly where you stand before you commit to anything.
How long until we're up and running?
A pilot can be live within one assessment cycle. We start with an audit, connect or build, then run a single class end to end before any wider rollout. No multi-year IT project.
Will this replace our teachers?
No. SkillGap does the repetitive diagnostic work, not the teaching. Faculty keep full control over grades and judgment, every AI result is reviewable, and feedback is always labeled as machine-generated.
What subjects does it support?
Any subject. The SkillGap engine and AI feedback work across disciplines, from programming to nursing to business. Java Programming is just the example shown in our demo.
Is our student data safe?
Yes. We only use the performance data needed to generate feedback, and we don't hold onto it. Compliance depends on your country, and we'll walk you through exactly what applies before anything is signed. See procurement & compliance.
What does it cost?
Simple annual licensing, priced per enrolled student (from $12/student/year), with a generous feedback allowance built in so there's nothing to meter. Getting started is a one-time Integration Assessment, which is free for founding partners and credited toward your build. See pricing.
